Packaging Team Lead (Manufacturing)

Salary: $40,000–$66,000 per year, plus potential performance bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the packaging team in meeting daily safety, quality, productivity, cost, and reliability targets.
• Promote safety practices, PPE compliance, and participation in departmental safety programs.
• Troubleshoot routine manufacturing equipment and operational or quality issues.
• Coordinate equipment changeovers, work assignments, and shift activities.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying losses, improving throughput and yield, and reducing changeover time.
• Train, mentor, and cross-train team members across equipment, processes, and functions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or five years of equivalent work history.
• At least two years of progressively responsible work experience; manufacturing experience in a similar industry is preferred.
• Proficient English required for reading instructions and manuals, maintaining records, and training employees.
• Knowledge of cGMPs, industrial safety practices, production goals, and performance objectives.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
• Basic knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne or comparable systems, along with basic mathematical and record-keeping skills.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing experience in the vitamins, supplements, or a similar regulated industry.
• Experience with OEE, Clean-Inspect-Lubricate activities, rapid changeovers, and root-cause problem-solving.
