AI ROI Consultant

What you will do

• Own the business case and ROI methodology for each AI ROI Services engagement.
• Convert activity, spend, and outcome data into defensible ROI ratios and payback periods.
• Separate and evaluate operational returns, such as time and capacity freed, from harder-to-attribute strategic returns.
• Pre-register success criteria, identify confounders, and apply appropriate analytical rigor.
• Partner with data analysts, CS Operations, Product, and FDE teams to ensure the required data and integrations are available.
• Present ROI calculations to finance and executive stakeholders and help productize repeatable parts of the methodology.

Requirements

• 7+ years at a top-tier strategy or management consulting firm, or comparable in-house strategy experience at Staff or Principal level.
• Personal experience building and defending B2B SaaS business cases to skeptical executives.
• Strong ROI and financial modeling skills, including payback analysis, cohort analysis, sensitivity testing, and confounder identification.
• Executive presence and ability to explain financial calculations to CFOs and other senior stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience advising AI adoption, defining taxonomies and cohort logic, or working with software spend, SaaS metrics, or customer success data.

Nice to have

• MBA or another advanced quantitative degree.
• Experience with AI spend analysis.
