Location: Hybrid, requiring 4 days in-office per week at One M&T Plaza in Buffalo, New York, United States

Salary: $89,600–$149,300 annual USD

What you will do

• Conduct independent financial research and complex analytical projects involving financial modeling and forecasting.
• Provide senior management with financial trend data, analysis, and strategic advice.
• Build and maintain advanced forecasting models and analytical tools in collaboration with business groups.
• Support Technology & Data and strategic investment reporting within FP&A.
• Lead team workload allocation, mentor junior colleagues, and contribute to projects of moderate scope.
• Maintain accuracy, internal controls, audit actions, risk standards, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience, or an associate degree and at least 7 years of experience in accounting, auditing, operations, or financial institutions.
• Comprehensive understanding of finance and accounting concepts across multiple disciplines.
• Proficiency with accounting and financial analysis, modeling, querying, and visualization tools.
• Expert understanding of financial statements, including balance sheet and income statement drivers and trends.
• Sponsorship is not available; candidates requiring sponsorship now or in the future, including F-1 visa holders with CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT, will not be considered.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree or professional certification such as CPA or CFA.
