Sr. Financial Analyst - Education Services

Location: hirify.global Alternate Site, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada; local travel between sites may be required.

Salary: CAD 7,502.25–10,788.33 per month

hirify.global is a university whose Faculty of Medicine delivers province-wide health and life sciences education, research, and clinical training programs.

What you will do

• Prepare budgets, forecasts, five-year plans, budget submissions, and complex financial reports for the Faculty of Medicine Education portfolio.
• Monitor cash flow, spending, funding allocations, and budget variances; identify risks and develop recovery plans.
• Build financial models, alternative funding plans, activity-based budgets, what-if scenarios, and sensitivity analyses.
• Develop and improve reporting tools and financial data processes using Excel and university finance management systems.
• Advise senior leaders, program managers, committees, and non-financial stakeholders on financial planning, revenue generation, funding arrangements, and sustainability.
• Coordinate with university finance units, health authorities, ministries, foundations, and other external partners to resolve funding and accounting matters.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and completion of an accredited accounting program such as CA, CGA, or CMA.
• At least five years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in fund accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, forecasting, financial reporting systems, and complex financial matters.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and analytical tools; experience with large ERP and university, hospital, or health authority accounting systems.
• Ability to interpret and consolidate financial data, apply accounting principles, assess risks, and communicate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
• hirify.global FMS certification will be required.

Nice to have

• Experience in post-secondary education or healthcare.
