Sr. Financial Analyst

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $95,000–$245,000 base salary per year

What you will do

• Partner with internal departments to develop budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, and expense monitoring.
• Provide actionable financial recommendations and improve reporting for operational departments.
• Solicit and analyze capital budget requests, assess ROI, prioritize investments, and track approved spending.
• Develop and continuously improve recurring financial reports for senior and executive leadership.
• Perform data validation and transactional research during month-end close.
• Analyze data from disparate sources, present conclusions, guide less experienced analysts, and support ad hoc projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of financial planning, budgeting, and analysis experience.
• Experience as a finance business partner.
• Exceptional Excel skills for analysis and financial modeling, with experience using financial tools such as Adaptive, Tableau, PeopleSoft, or data warehouses.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, accuracy, independence, flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Knowledge of Department of Defense and other applicable government regulations; selected applicants may be required to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
