What you will do

  • Design, develop, and maintain C# and Unity applications for orthopedic surgical navigation and visualization.
  • Build real-time, high-performance software integrating optical navigation, cameras, tracking systems, and surgical hardware.
  • Develop augmented reality and immersive visualization tools for surgical planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineering, clinical research, product management, regulatory, and quality teams.
  • Participate in verification and validation activities and troubleshoot software and system issues.
  • Document architecture, design specifications, and testing procedures while contributing to Agile development and sustaining engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of professional software development experience with C# and Unity.
  • Experience developing software that interfaces with physical hardware such as cameras, sensors, or tracking systems.
  • Strong understanding of optical navigation systems and their use in surgical or healthcare environments.
  • Experience with the software development lifecycle, Git, Agile methodologies, 3D visualization, real-time rendering, or game engine development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in complex technical environments.

Nice to have

  • Medical device software development experience and familiarity with FDA and ISO standards.
  • Experience with robotic surgical systems, navigation platforms, augmented reality, or immersive visualization.
  • Understanding of anatomy and biomechanics in orthopedic applications.
  • Familiarity with cloud services, web technologies, and REST APIs.
