Senior Software Engineer (.Net and AWS) (AI)

Location: Budapest, Hungary; hybrid work model with onsite attendance at least 50% of the time for employees within commuting distance of a hirify.global office.

What you will do

• Design, build, and own secure, scalable, high-performing microservices and serverless solutions using AWS and C#/.NET.
• Modernize existing services and manage services end to end from development through deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
• Use AI tools for coding, debugging, testing, prototyping, and productivity while validating outputs for quality and safety.
• Advise on LLM concepts, prompt patterns, ethical and privacy considerations, residual risks, and mitigations.
• Drive architectural discussions, pilot emerging tools, and integrate automated governance and compliance checks into delivery pipelines.
• Coach peers and collaborate with Product, Security, DevOps, and other teams on features, deployment, and compliance.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of professional software engineering experience in an agile environment.
• Strong experience with C#/.NET, RESTful APIs, OpenAPI, AWS serverless patterns, and secure software development.
• Experience with infrastructure as code using CDK or Terraform, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability tools.
• Experience with SQL/PostgreSQL and/or NoSQL databases, including schema design and performance optimization.
• Understanding of LLM concepts, safe and unsafe AI use cases, prompt engineering, AI tool validation, and basic compliance risks.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills; a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Familiarity with Angular for effective collaboration on end-to-end features.
