Associate, Data Analytics (Tempe, AZ - Hybrid)

Location: Remote position associated with Tempe, Arizona, United States

Salary: $91,659–$120,303 per year, plus benefits and annual performance bonuses

What you will do

• Own insight generation and follow-up for a major business unit, serving as a point of contact for senior business stakeholders.
• Analyze large datasets and healthcare financial and utilization metrics to support data-driven decisions.
• Define analytical questions, methodologies, requirements, and results for stakeholder requests.
• Develop and enhance operational dashboards, models, and tools that identify healthcare inefficiencies.
• Present analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical colleagues, including leadership.
• Collaborate across the organization to define improvement actions and monitor initiative impact.

Requirements

• 3+ years of technical experience using analytical tools and writing analytical reports.
• 3+ years of experience working with large datasets and translating analysis into relevant insights.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including at least five examples of presenting analysis to Director-level or higher leadership.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL, including filtering, aggregation, and CTEs, or proficiency in R or Python with Pandas, loops, and statistical tests.
• 3+ years of experience developing dashboards with Looker or comparable business intelligence and data visualization tools.
• Experience with Google Sheets or Excel, including VLOOKUP, nested IF statements, and connected Sheets, plus at least one year in healthcare, consulting, finance, or insurance.

Nice to have

• 2+ years of healthcare analytics and reporting experience.
• Experience managing value-based contracts at a payer or provider organization.
• Exposure to healthcare contract negotiations, risk adjustment, ACA Marketplace, quality of care, or population health.
