Data Analyst (Healthcare)

Location: Remote within the United States. Corporate roles are not hired in Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, Mississippi, New Mexico, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Vermont, Wisconsin, or Rhode Island. Virta has office hubs in Denver and San Francisco.

Salary: $96,000–$124,500 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Reconcile and validate client billing data across multiple internal systems.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies to maintain data accuracy and integrity.
• Build repeatable data-quality checks, reconciliations, controls, and documentation.
• Partner with the Client Group to answer data questions and support accurate billing.
• Develop reporting, dashboards, and analyses that identify billing trends, risks, and anomalies.
• Improve billing processes and data flows through automation and cross-functional collaboration with Product Analytics, Finance, and Engineering.

Requirements

• Experience in an analytics, data, or finance-operations role.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, large-dataset manipulation, and reconciliation.
• Strong SQL skills and comfort working with relational databases.
• Experience reconciling data across systems and investigating discrepancies.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong data-accuracy standards, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Healthcare data experience, including medical or pharmacy claims or accounts receivable.
• Billing, revenue operations, or accounts-receivable experience.
• Experience with Looker, Tableau, BigQuery, dbt, Python, data governance, data-quality frameworks, or internal controls.
