Data Analytics - Associate (SQL/dbt)

Location: New York, New York, United States; office work Monday–Thursday with remote work available on Friday

Salary: $100,000–$135,000 per year, plus equity and an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Define and calculate operational KPIs for Operations and Investment Management teams.
• Write SQL in dbt to extract, transform, validate, and aggregate source data.
• Create Tableau dashboards, monitor key metrics, and perform exploratory data analysis.
• Monitor and deploy data pipelines using Prefect.
• Gather business requirements, scope projects, implement technical solutions, and present findings.
• Convert data insights into action-oriented, phased plans that improve business metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related technical field.
• 4–8 years of experience in a data-related role.
• Excellent SQL skills; dbt experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Tableau, Looker, or Power BI, plus Python, Microsoft Excel, and intermediate statistics.
• Familiarity with data science techniques and machine learning models.
• Strong communication, presentation, requirements-gathering, and end-to-end project delivery skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services or alternative investments.
• Experience in business analysis or project management.
