Location: Remote for candidates residing in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, or Virginia. Candidates within commuting distance of the New York City or Tempe offices are expected to work onsite at least three days per week, including Thursdays.
Salary: $123,372–$161,925 per year in New Jersey and New York; $111,034–$145,733 per year in other listed locations.

What you will do
- Develop, maintain, and enhance actuarial models for value-based care arrangements, including shared savings, shared risk, and capitated payments.
- Forecast deal performance, calculate settlements, and evaluate the financial impact of reimbursement models on total cost of care and affordability.
- Monitor provider and arrangement performance through reporting, benchmarking, attribution, and variance analysis.
- Partner with Network Contracting, Actuarial, Finance, Clinical, and Claims Operations teams on contract evaluation, negotiation strategy, and performance management.
- Translate claims, utilization, and financial data into concise insights and recommendations for business partners and leadership.
- Improve model documentation, QA controls, reproducibility, automation, onboarding, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- College degree in a STEM field.
- Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, or active progress toward qualification.
- 4+ years of quantitative analysis experience.
- Residence in one of the listed U.S. states is required.
- Employees within commuting distance of the New York City or Tempe offices must attend onsite at least three days per week.
Nice to have
- Experience in health insurance, value-based care, provider economics, medical economics, or network performance analytics.
- Knowledge of claims, utilization, risk adjustment, reimbursement, and total cost of care.
- Experience with SQL, Python, R, or similar analytical tools.
- Experience improving analytical processes through automation, documentation, and quality controls.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including explaining technical analyses to non-technical audiences.
