Clinical Development Senior Medical Director (Oncology)

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid work with on-site presence an average of 2.5 days per week and residence within commuting distance required.

Salary: $274,500–$457,500 annual base salary, plus a 25% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Provide clinical development expertise for late-stage thoracic oncology trials, overseeing study design, conduct, analysis, and medical monitoring.
• Assess eligibility, review clinical data, monitor safety, and lead peer-to-peer interactions with investigators.
• Coordinate clinical issues among study teams, investigators, ethics committees, steering committees, and regulatory authorities.
• Develop and maintain clinical trial and regulatory documents with Clinical Scientists and cross-functional teams.
• Execute clinical development strategies as part of the Global Product Team and represent hirify.global in advisory boards and health authority interactions.
• Interpret clinical data, communicate findings, and guide current and future development plans.

Requirements

• Medical degree required, such as MD, DO, MBBS, or MBChB, from a recognized medical school or university.
• At least 5 years of industry experience and prior clinical development experience required.
• Independent authorization to prescribe medicines for at least 2 years after completing the internship, house officer, or foundation period.
• Permanent U.S. work authorization and authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer required.
• U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
• Ability to work on-site an average of 2.5 days per week and live within commuting distance required.

Nice to have

• Late-stage clinical development experience.
• Thoracic oncology experience.
• Board certification or eligibility in oncology, or equivalent.
• Current medical registration and a good standing record with the medical licensing authority.
