Physician - Virtual Health Assessment (Bilingual - Spanish)

Location: Remote/work from home, with residence required in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, or Virginia. Occasional travel may be required for team meetings and company events. Working hours are Monday–Thursday, 8 a.m.–8 p.m. EST, and Friday–Saturday, 8 a.m.–6 p.m. EST; one late shift per week and one Saturday shift per quarter are required.

Salary: $216,406–$284,032 per year, plus benefits, vacation, and performance bonuses.

What you will do

• Provide medical care through phone, video, and messaging on Oscar’s platforms.
• Supervise nurse practitioners and physician assistants in accordance with state regulations.
• Collaborate with medical assistants, registered nurses, and providers across service lines.
• Follow Oscar Medical Group clinical guidelines, policies, applicable laws, and regulations.
• Report to the Director of Virtual Health Assessment.

Requirements

• Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Fluent Spanish, verified through a proctored assessment.
• Full, non-telehealth licenses in Tennessee and Georgia, plus at least two of Missouri, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, or Texas.
• Active IMLCC membership or eligibility to apply, with willingness to obtain additional state licenses.
• At least three years of outpatient family or internal medicine experience and experience with value-based care documentation standards.

Nice to have

• At least two years of telemedicine experience.
• Additional licenses in Missouri, Alabama, or Mississippi.
• Experience supervising nurse practitioners and physician assistants for regulatory purposes.
