Lead Commissioner, Canada (m/f/d) (Wind Energy): Managing on-site operations, personnel, assets, and commissioning activities for wind farms with an accent on turbine quality, safety compliance, inventory control, and technical troubleshooting. Focus on coordinating Nordex and subcontractor commissioners, resolving mechanical and electrical issues, and delivering wind farm projects through substantial completion.
Location: Canada; 100% on-site at wind farms during the commissioning process. Domestic and international travel to project sites is required, including travel in North America and the ability to obtain a passport to enter the US.
Salary: $51.00–$61.00 CAD per hour, plus up to a 5% bonus.

What you will do
- Manage on-site commissioning operations, assets, personnel, technicians, subcontractors, and daily work schedules.
- Provide field technical support for troubleshooting, installation, component replacement, and post-sales service activities.
- Audit turbine work and maintain quality standards to support substantial completion of each wind farm.
- Manage spare parts, tooling, PPE, vehicle inspections, inventories, calibrations, and project demobilization.
- Prepare commissioning reports and progress trackers, support site and quality assurance management, and communicate lessons learned.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards and keep required training and certifications current.
Requirements
- Associate degree in electrical engineering or a technical wind energy degree preferred; equivalent wind industry experience and training accepted with 5+ years of related experience.
- At least 3 years of wind turbine commissioning experience.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fiber-optic systems and repair for and Acciona technologies.
- Competence in switching various types of switchgear, along with strong leadership, communication, organization, and troubleshooting skills.
- Must be able to work in Canada without company sponsorship and travel in North America for work and training.
- Fluent English is required; a valid driver's license, ability to work at heights above 100 meters, climb ladders, lift up to 23 kg, and meet the 120 kg climbing-equipment limit are also required.
