What you will do

• Maintain production uptime, availability, and performance across large Oracle database and application environments.
• Manage the Oracle Cloud OCI platform, integrations, configurations, database resources, and standard Oracle architecture practices.
• Perform DBA operations including backups, recovery, cloning, patching, upgrades, tablespace and storage management, monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Design and implement disaster recovery plans, test backups, verify data integrity, and maintain access controls and database security.
• Execute health checks, diagnose software and hardware failures, respond to service outages, and resolve infrastructure and database issues.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, application, development, migration, and integration teams across multiple geographies and time zones.

Requirements

• BA in Computer Science or a similar field.
• 10+ years of experience as an Oracle ERP APPS DBA, including at least 5 years as an Oracle Cloud engineer managing OCI platforms.
• Experience completing at least two upgrade cycles and reducing cutover downtime through process improvements.
• Hands-on knowledge of OCI architecture, concurrent managers, workflow, application infrastructure layouts, cloning, patching, backup and recovery, ODI, FAW/ADW, performance tuning, and SQL profiling.
• Experience designing and implementing disaster recovery plans, with Unix shell scripting skills on Oracle ODA and OVM environments.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work with multiple application teams, developers, geographies, and time zones.
