Lead ETL Developer (AWS/Snowflake)

Location: Columbus, OH; office workplace type

Salary: $70,000–$140,000 per year, plus eligibility for an applicable incentive compensation plan

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, maintenance, and optimization of ETL/ELT pipelines for the Enterprise Data Warehouse.
• Build scalable data integration solutions with AWS Glue, Snowflake, Python/PySpark, and IBM DataStage.
• Define reusable, metadata-driven, and performance-optimized data pipeline patterns.
• Establish testing, data validation, observability, coding standards, version control, and CI/CD practices.
• Collaborate with product owners, business systems analysts, architects, QA, and upstream and downstream engineering teams.
• Support production operations, incident triage, root cause analysis, modernization initiatives, and technical delivery leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or an additional four years of related work experience in lieu of the degree.
• 5+ years of ETL or data engineering experience in enterprise data warehouse environments.
• 5+ years of SQL and database development experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python/PySpark and ETL tools.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud-based data platforms.
• Ability to work in the Columbus, OH office workplace setting.

Nice to have

• Experience leading development teams or serving as a technical lead on large-scale data initiatives.
• Experience with AWS Glue, S3, EC2, Snowflake architecture optimization, and data pipeline observability.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, regulatory requirements, and financial services.
• AWS Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer certification.
• Experience defining future-state data architecture or modernization roadmaps.
