Senior Payroll Specialist (Workday)

What you will do

• Process and audit weekly, bi-weekly, and off-cycle payrolls in Workday.
• Review payroll calculations, earnings, deductions, garnishments, taxes, and benefits deductions.
• Analyze and resolve complex payroll discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and applicable international payroll regulations.
• Develop Workday payroll reports, dashboards, analytics, and ad hoc reporting for Finance, HR, and business leaders.
• Lead payroll testing for system updates, tax changes, and new functionality while identifying process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 5 years of Workday Payroll experience.
• At least 7 years of progressive payroll administration experience.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and experience with multi-state payroll for large employee populations.
• Advanced proficiency in Workday Payroll, reporting, business processes, auditing, and reconciliation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis functions.

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification.
