What you will do
- Define and execute the national strategy for the Ground Engineering & Tunnelling business in New Zealand.
- Build relationships with clients, industry bodies and key stakeholders while representing the business as a technical thought leader.
- Lead strategic pursuits and major bids, developing differentiated and commercially strong solutions.
- Identify market opportunities, emerging trends and new service offerings for long-term growth.
- Provide technical oversight and champion quality, innovation and integrated solutions across complex infrastructure projects.
- Grow the national team through mentoring, recruitment, succession planning and capability development.
Requirements
- Significant experience leading geotechnical and/or tunnelling projects in a consulting environment.
- Recognised technical reputation within the New Zealand infrastructure market and a record of winning major projects.
- Strong commercial acumen, client relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience influencing multidisciplinary teams and delivering integrated solutions for complex infrastructure projects.
- Collaborative leadership style with a passion for mentoring and developing people, plus international experience with innovative design solutions.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline; Chartered Professional Engineer or equivalent status is preferred.
