Player/Coach (Mechanical/Mechatronics)

What you will do

• Own priorities across multiple machine design and equipment delivery programs, balancing schedules, technical risk, production impact, and sustaining needs.
• Lead automation delivery from concept through design, build, commissioning, validation, ramp, and handover to production.
• Set and improve standards for mechanical and mechatronics design, documentation, design reviews, commissioning, validation, and sustaining ownership.
• Lead high-risk station, fixture, automation, and production test designs where reliability, throughput, maintainability, or yield are at stake.
• Improve production line performance through downtime reduction, maintainability, spares strategy, and operator-friendly equipment design.
• Coach engineers and collaborate with Production Engineering, NPI, Manufacturing, Reliability, vendors, and leadership.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in mechanical or mechatronics engineering.
• Strong experience designing fixtures, automation equipment, and production test stations.
• Experience delivering complex manufacturing automation from concept through commissioning, validation, ramp, and sustaining support.
• Ability to set technical standards across design reviews, documentation, validation, and engineering practices.
• Experience improving reliability, reducing downtime, and increasing production line maintainability.
• Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills, including the ability to balance schedule, risk, quality, and factory impact.
