Referral and Scheduling Coordinator (Healthcare)

Location: Daytona Beach, FL; onsite

Salary: $39,000–$49,400 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Schedule and pre-register patients for specialist exams and procedures outside the primary care office.
• Gather referral information and communicate preparation instructions to patients and referring providers.
• Perform phone-based duties approximately 80% of the time.
• Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for 40 scheduled hours per week.
• Support patient-facing referral and scheduling processes in a clinical healthcare setting.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on healthcare experience in a clinical setting, preferably with the Medicare population.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Proficiency with medical terminology and experience using Electronic Medical Records.
• Excellent professional communication skills with patients and internal stakeholders.
• As a patient-facing role, participation in the company’s tuberculosis screening program and TB screening are required if selected.

Nice to have

• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding.
• Medical Assistant or other professional healthcare-related state certification.
