Focus on maintaining accurate scheduling templates, supporting pre-certification and surgical coordination, and protecting patient confidentiality.

Location: Nacogdoches, Texas; onsite office work with occasional travel to Palestine

What you will do

  • Answer incoming calls, assess patient needs, route calls, and relay messages accurately.
  • Schedule new, referred, and returning patients, including appointments, tests, surgeries, and hospital admissions when required.
  • Enter insurance authorizations, referral correspondence, documentation, and coding information into patient charts and electronic medical records.
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other out-of-pocket payments and arrange financial counseling when needed.
  • Maintain physician scheduling templates and coordinate schedule changes, satellite schedules, meetings, rounding, and call coverage.
  • Support pre-certification, pre-operative testing, patient preparation instructions, and post-operative follow-up scheduling.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Level 1: 0–3 years of experience; Level 2: at least 3 years of office experience; Senior level: at least 5 years of office experience.
  • Medical office experience, medical terminology, scheduling, and insurance authorization knowledge are preferred; medical terminology and coding are required for the Senior level.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Full-time onsite availability in Nacogdoches, Texas, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; occasional travel to Palestine is required.
