Location: Plano, Texas, United States; full-time onsite office position. Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, with no weekends, call, or major holidays.

What you will do

  • Schedule new, referred, and returning patient appointments in the computer system.
  • Answer incoming calls, assess patient needs, route calls, and communicate messages accurately.
  • Enter insurance authorizations, referral correspondence, documentation, and coding details into patient records and the EMR.
  • Maintain physician scheduling templates, including meetings, satellite schedules, rounding, and call coverage.
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other out-of-pocket payments, and arrange financial counseling when needed.
  • Coordinate outpatient tests, surgeries, hospital admissions, pre-operative clearances, and post-operative follow-ups as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least five years of office experience for the Senior level, preferably in a medical office setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and coding required for the Senior level.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and work with patients and the public in an office environment.
