Location: New Braunfels, Texas, United States. Full-time onsite work in an office environment, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

What you will do

• Schedule new, referred, and returning patient appointments in accordance with physician and clinic guidelines.
• Answer incoming calls, assess patient needs, route calls, and communicate messages accurately.
• Enter insurance authorizations, referral correspondence, documentation, and coding information in patient charts and electronic medical records.
• Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other out-of-pocket amounts at the time of visit.
• Maintain physician scheduling templates, including meetings, satellite schedules, rounding, and call coverage.
• Coordinate testing, surgeries, hospital admissions, financial counseling, pre-certification, and post-operative follow-up when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least five years of office experience for the senior level, preferably in a medical office setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and coding.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and work with patients and the public in an office environment.
