Field Application Engineer (Semiconductors)

Location: Santa Clara, California, USA preferred, or Austin, Texas, USA; up to 10% travel required.

Expected salary: $55,400–$90,000 per year.

What you will do

• Engage with customers to understand technical needs for semiconductor IC product development.
• Learn hirify.global technology offerings and align them with customer applications and market requirements.
• Collaborate with account managers, product marketing, internal technical teams, and subject matter experts.
• Create application-specific technical presentations, proposals, and customer-facing documentation.
• Support technical evaluations, design-in activities, tapeout processes, and design-win conversion.
• Identify and resolve technical issues affecting tapeout readiness and customer adoption.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Science, or a related field from an accredited program.
• Graduation in 2027, overall GPA of at least 3.0, and good academic standing.
• Fluent written and verbal English.
• Ability to work in Santa Clara, California, or Austin, Texas, and travel up to 10%.
• Strong written and verbal communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and execute technical solutions through project management.

• Related internship or co-op experience.
• Leadership experience in the workplace, academic projects, or competitions.
• Coursework in circuit design, semiconductor device physics, or materials science.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, EDA software, and Linux operating systems.
