Controls Engineer (PLC)

Salary: $95,000–$105,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, implement, troubleshoot, and maintain control algorithms and machine-based software systems.
• Develop programs for machine operation, data collection, diagnostics, and communication with peripheral equipment.
• Implement control software using PLC ladder logic, structured text, and function block diagrams.
• Collaborate with sales, service, and engineering teams to define technical and functional specifications.
• Support machine checkout, installation, and commissioning with software documentation and technical assistance.
• Work directly with customers to resolve software issues and prepare operation manuals, diagnostic guides, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial controls development; manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in PLC programming, including platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, or B&R.
• Strong understanding of control theory and its application.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with assembly-level languages, Visual C++, or other high-level programming languages.
• Knowledge of HMI application programming.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
