Data Catalog Delivery Lead (Alation)

What you will do

• Own execution governance for the Data Catalog Design & Delivery team, including operating processes, standards, and agile practices.
• Manage audit-ready traceability from requirements through design, development, testing, and release.
• Coordinate release management, readiness validation, change freeze alignment, and deployment timing.
• Review design decisions, testing strategies, and test cases for scalability, governance, integration, usability, and sustainability.
• Drive Alation platform configuration, adoption, metadata ingestion, integration, and vendor engagement.
• Resolve execution risks, requirement gaps, design inconsistencies, and cross-functional conflicts while improving catalog adoption, metadata quality, onboarding velocity, and audit performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• 7+ years of experience implementing data governance frameworks, policies, standards, and controls.
• Experience with data governance, data privacy, data protection, and complex business process analysis.
• At least 2 years of hands-on Alation experience, including workflow configuration, stewardship models, metadata ingestion, and platform integration.
• Experience with testing strategies, quality assurance, release management, audit or compliance-driven delivery, and documented controls.
• Strong communication, leadership, coordination, conflict resolution, and continuous improvement skills.
