Data Excellence Delivery & BD Lead (Drug Discovery)

Location: Hybrid in Boston, Massachusetts; San Diego, California; or South San Francisco, California. Client-facing work requires travel as needed.

Salary: $200,000–$229,500 per year.

What you will do

• Lead data and technology advisory engagements covering data strategy, architecture visioning, governance design, and transformation roadmaps.
• Guide programs from strategy through implementation by structuring workplans, managing risks, overseeing analyses and workshops, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across research, discovery informatics, computational sciences, data, and IT to turn scientific and operational challenges into actionable programs.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across strategy, technology, analytics, and scientific domains, coordinating with offshore delivery teams.
• Identify account growth opportunities, shape proposals and scopes of work, and contribute to business development.
• Build the drug discovery practice through new offerings, intellectual property, case examples, and thought leadership.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of relevant experience in consulting, pharmaceutical or biotech R&D, research IT, discovery informatics, or a combination.
• Direct experience with drug discovery or preclinical research organizations.
• Knowledge of scientific data domains such as assay data, omics, chemistry, biology, imaging, DMPK, or translational data.
• Experience with research platforms and ecosystems including ELN/LIMS, scientific workflow tools, cloud data platforms, knowledge graphs, AI/ML workflows, or bioinformatics environments.
• Experience leading research transformation programs, aligning IT and research stakeholders, designing workflows, and addressing adoption challenges.
• Fluent English and existing US work authorization without current or future employer sponsorship requirements.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in life sciences, chemistry, biology, bioinformatics, biomedical engineering, data science, or a related field.
• MBA or equivalent qualification.
