EPI Process Support Engineer II (Semiconductor)

Location: Yokkaichi, Japan; travel required 25% of the time; relocation eligible

What you will do

• Provide customer support through on-site installations, system diagnosis, servicing, and repair of complex equipment.
• Collaborate with customers and R&D teams to develop and qualify advanced semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Design hypothesis experiments and DOEs, analyze experimental data statistically, and prepare reports with technical conclusions.
• Troubleshoot complex process and product issues, perform root cause analyses, and implement solutions.
• Communicate with customers and internal stakeholders to build trust and achieve technical goals.
• Apply knowledge of company processes and customer requirements to evaluate and solve engineering problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics, materials engineering, electrical engineering, optoelectronics, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in the semiconductor fab or equipment industry.
• English communication proficiency required.
• Willingness to travel 25% of the time.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or PhD in a related field.
