Distribution Center Lead (Warehouse Operations)

Location: On-site in Sumner, WA, United States

Salary: $27.00–$33.00 per hour, depending on qualifications, experience, and other permitted considerations. Eligible for the Platt Distribution Center Bonus Plan.

What you will do

• Lead, train, and coordinate a small distribution center team and support department workflow.
• Coordinate delivery scheduling, inbound and outbound processes, safety requirements, and special customer requirements.
• Oversee department operations when the Distribution Center Supervisor or Assistant Supervisor is absent.
• Maintain accurate inventory and ensure shipments are accurate and undamaged.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of material handling equipment, along with distribution center security and maintenance.
• Assign and monitor work to ensure jobs are implemented and completed properly.

Requirements

• 4+ years of distribution center or warehouse experience.
• Ability to lead, train, communicate effectively, resolve complex issues, and prioritize tasks.
• Knowledge of department functions and warehouse processes.
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to work overtime as needed and meet deadlines.
• Forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment certification preferred; high school diploma or GED preferred.
