Manager, Data Engineering (GCP)

Location: Onsite in Southlake, Texas, United States

Salary: USD $142,000–$155,000 per year, plus bonus or incentive opportunities

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of complex enterprise data integration and data platform solutions.
• Build scalable and resilient data pipelines, data warehouse solutions, and cloud-based platforms for analytics and reporting.
• Define data modeling, ETL, load planning, performance tuning, and architecture strategies.
• Partner with business leaders, product teams, data modelers, architects, analysts, and engineering teams to deliver business-focused data solutions.
• Mentor engineers, guide delivery teams, influence technology decisions, and drive engineering excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, ETL development, or related disciplines.
• Experience leading large-scale data engineering initiatives, technical teams, or complex enterprise programs.
• 5+ years designing and implementing enterprise data integration solutions with Informatica IDMC/IICS or similar ETL technologies.
• Experience with GCP services including BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage, and Dataproc.
• Strong experience with data warehousing, data modeling, ETL architecture, SQL, Python, shell scripting, CI/CD, DevOps, source control, and deployment tools.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, banking, brokerage, wealth management, or another regulated industry.
• Experience supporting business-critical enterprise applications and distributed, offshore, or vendor-supported engineering teams.
• Experience with technology modernization, data platform transformation, governance, strategic planning, and mentoring technical organizations.
