Data Engineering Manager

Location: San Francisco headquarters or remote in the United States or Canada

Compensation: $172,000–$254,000 total annual compensation, including salary and equity

What you will do

• Collaborate with product managers, data analysts, and machine learning engineers to build data pipelines and ETL tasks for extracting insights.
• Establish schedulable, automated, and replicable data architecture processes and standards.
• Contribute to organizational data team strategy and planning with product leaders and managers.
• Work with the Data Leadership team to align initiatives across the Data Organization.
• Manage Data Engineers and support their learning, growth, and success.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of industry experience as a data engineer or in a similar role.
• Expertise in Python and fluency in SQL, with experience developing maintainable data pipelines.
• Experience with automated testing, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
• Experience managing at least 3 people and accountability for their professional growth and success.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Working knowledge of deploying and monitoring ML/AI applications, plus the ability to contribute individually as a player-coach.
