Quality Assurance/Quality Control Superintendent (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Manage quality assurance and quality control for fixed equipment, including weld inspection, assembly inspection, materials of construction, and field inspections.
• Plan, schedule, budget, and execute tank integrity, maintenance, repair, and capital projects.
• Coordinate tank work with Operations, Scheduling, Environmental, contractors, and maintenance personnel.
• Review fabrication materials, welding procedures, welder qualifications, and required non-destructive examination for onsite and offsite work.
• Maintain equipment documentation, piping specifications, approved manufacturer requirements, and regulatory records.
• Supervise contract personnel and maintenance, mechanical, and electrical staff while supporting safety, troubleshooting, failure analysis, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Engineering degree preferred, with at least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of corrosion, welding, structural and pipe welding using GTAW and SMAW processes.
• Experience with fixed equipment inspection, tank and digester inspections, and non-destructive testing.
• Knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes and ASME piping codes.
• Knowledge of API standards covering pressure vessels, pressure piping, relief systems, tanks, risk-based inspection, fitness for service, and damage mechanisms.
• Experience supervising contractors and in-house maintenance personnel.

Nice to have

• API 653 Tank Inspector certification.
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector certification.
• Level II ultrasonic testing certification under ASNT SNT-TC-1A.
• Experience with magnetic particle testing, dye penetrant testing, and X-ray film interpretation.
