Intern, Electrical Engineering

Location: Onsite in Buffalo, NY, with the internship work schedule in East Aurora, NY

Salary: $25.00–$31.00 per hour

What you will do

• Create production assembly and test instructions, including Work Instructions, Acceptance Test Procedures, and Electronic Historical Record entries.
• Support product integrity and quality by resolving production issues, conducting Material Review Board analyses, and analyzing electrical test data.
• Identify and implement producibility, quality, and product-design improvements while planning schedule impacts.
• Design, coordinate, and troubleshoot assembly fixtures, production flow-line systems, and electrical test equipment.
• Develop basic programs to track metrics such as first-pass yield and product cost objectives.
• Provide technical guidance to Assembly and Test personnel and support design changes through drawing updates, Change Review Board participation, and the ECN process.

Requirements

• Enrollment in an Electrical Engineering bachelor's or master's degree program at an accredited university.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0; the department may specify an exact GPA requirement.
• Ability to relocate for the duration of the internship and work onsite in New York.
• Professional disposition, effective communication skills, willingness to learn, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• The position requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
