Electrical Engineering Intern (Summer 2027)

Location: Whiting, Wisconsin, United States; on-site internship at the Whiting Mill

Starting pay: $22.00–$25.00 per hour, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Support process efficiency, cost-saving, and technology advancement initiatives.
• Participate in mill and production-line operations involving paper and paper-based materials.
• Update mill documentation and electrical drawings.
• Attend leadership meetings and report on assigned project work.
• Help modify or create standard operating procedures.
• Follow safety procedures and work with operators on the production floor while using required PPE.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a degree program focused on electrical engineering.
• At least one completed year of coursework; two completed years are preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to analyze information, communicate findings, collaborate, work independently, and manage multiple assignments.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass physical capabilities testing, drug and alcohol screening, and a background check.
• Must be able and willing to work on the operating floor and wear required PPE.

Nice to have

• Minimum 3.0 GPA in the relevant academic field.
• Prior internship experience.
