Manufacturing Engineer Co-op Production Support (Semiconductor)

Location: Onsite in Beverly, Massachusetts, United States. Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. The co-op cycle runs from July 6 through December 18.

Salary: $20.42–$35.70 per hour. A separate $1,000 travel stipend is paid as a lump sum in the first paycheck.

What you will do

• Support manufacturing systems for complex mechanical and electrical operations, including subassemblies, wire harnesses, robots, pneumatic, vacuum, cooling, and high-pressure systems.
• Support module assembly and testing and design and build fixtures for complex product assembly.
• Develop or revise module and subassembly build procedures.
• Correct bills of materials and documentation while maintaining form, fit, function, and design intent.
• Improve manufacturing cell quality and productivity using lean principles, standard work, visual instructions, Kaizen, and Six Sigma.
• Perform root cause analysis for quality defects, implement containment and corrective actions, and resolve product issues.

Requirements

• Candidate for a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a similar field.
• Experience with basic engineering tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with mechanical and electrical equipment, including calipers, hand tools, and digital multimeters.
• Ability to work onsite at the Beverly, Massachusetts facility.
