Occupational Health Nurse - 2nd Shift

Location: Round Lake, Illinois, United States; onsite, 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM

Salary: $68,000–$93,500 annually, plus potential discretionary bonus

What you will do

• Implement and evaluate a facility-level occupational health program addressing employee health risks.
• Provide immediate care for employee and visitor injuries and illnesses and coordinate medical emergency response.
• Manage health surveillance programs, including vision, hearing, respiratory, reproductive, and chemical exposure monitoring.
• Maintain confidential occupational health records and complete OSHA, workers’ compensation, and other required reporting.
• Coordinate case management, return-to-work processes, benefits utilization, drug testing, and health promotion initiatives.
• Partner with EHS, healthcare professionals, managers, and external physicians to reduce workplace health risks and support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Current registered nurse license required.
• At least 3 years of experience in a clinical nursing setting.
• Critical thinking, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and computer skills.
• CPR and first-aid certification required; ability to respond physically to emergencies.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
• Visa sponsorship is not available, and the candidate must not be allergic to penicillin, cephalosporin, or related products or materials.

Nice to have

• BSN degree.
• Occupational health certification.
• Task-based certifications such as pulmonary function testing or hearing testing.
