Human Resources Specialist

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina, United States; onsite plant-based role

Salary: $70,400–$88,000 per year, plus an annual performance-based bonus

What you will do

• Manage recruitment for hourly and salaried plant positions, from requisition creation and posting through interviewing, offers, applicant documentation, and onboarding.
• Support labor and employee relations, including communication between unions, management, operators, and other employees.
• Counsel employees and managers on benefits, payroll, workplace concerns, policies, and employment-related issues.
• Administer hourly absenteeism policies and recommend disciplinary action when appropriate.
• Support labor contract negotiations, interpret contract language and plant rules, and help ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company requirements.
• Analyze HR practices, benchmark market standards, and present recommendations to management.

Requirements

• Education equivalent to a bachelor's degree; a degree in Human Resources, Communications, or Business is preferred.
• Four years of related HR experience, including labor relations, contract administration, workers' compensation, and employee training or orientation.
• At least two years of experience working in a manufacturing facility.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
• Experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, along with strong communication, organization, listening, evaluation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to travel and a valid U.S. driver's license are required.
