Customer Service Representative (Manufacturing)

Location: Waco, Texas, United States

Salary: $40,320–$50,400 per year, plus an annual performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Receive, process, track, and schedule customer orders through completion.
• Respond to customer inquiries about product availability, pricing, freight rates, allocations, delivery dates, quotations, estimates, specifications, and samples.
• Coordinate with sales, design, production, shipping, and other internal departments to ensure order completeness, on-time delivery, and accurate invoicing.
• Monitor customer accounts and order status, communicate significant updates, and manage order changes.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints, including billing issues, escalating matters when necessary.
• Manage inventory levels, reconcile inventory with customer orders and forecasts, and conduct month-end physical inventory.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• Two years of previous customer service experience, including handling customer orders in an order-entry system.
• Experience maintaining and building positive customer business relationships.
• Working knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong analytical, organizational, active listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple requests and detail-oriented tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and work flexible hours or overtime as needed.

Nice to have

• Associate degree or college business coursework.
• Experience with an automated order-entry system.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, containerboard, or corrugated packaging.
• Previous experience working in a team environment.
