Shipping Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Location: Tampa, FL, United States; onsite shift-based work

Salary: $70,000–$80,000 per year, plus an annual performance-based bonus

What you will do

• Manage outbound shipments, customer order schedules, truck and railcar loading plans, and shipment status updates.
• Direct inbound material inspection, unloading, storage, and warehouse operations.
• Schedule work, coordinate production activities, supervise employees, approve time records, and implement company policies.
• Train employees on equipment, operating protocols, production standards, safety regulations, and waste control.
• Monitor inventory, including on-hand and month-end inventory, and investigate shipping-related product damage complaints.
• Analyze department performance, set improvement goals, and recommend process and equipment improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least four years of experience working in a shipping department.
• Ability to work flexible hours when needed.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, mechanical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of departmental machinery, methods, procedures, manufacturing systems, and shop-floor software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities.

Nice to have

• Some college education or manufacturing training.
• Experience in a corrugated manufacturing environment.
• Previous supervisory experience in employee training, team building, performance development, and conflict resolution.
