Mechanic (Diesel Trucks and Trailers)

Location: Columbus, IN; onsite

Salary: $26.58–$33.37 per hour

What you will do

• Perform bumper-to-bumper repairs on tractors and trailers.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and tire service, including dismounting and mounting tires.
• Troubleshoot diesel engines, transmissions, clutches, air brakes, ABS brakes, air systems, and electrical problems.
• Diagnose and repair tractors and trailers independently and efficiently.
• Work overtime when needed.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of hands-on diesel mechanic experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Own hand tools.
• Clean driving record and a valid driver's license for test drives and parts runs.
• Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
