Shipping Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Location: Marshalltown, Iowa, United States

Salary: $63,360–$95,040 per year, plus an annual performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Manage warehousing, inventory control, and inbound and outbound shipping activities for finished goods and materials.
• Plan truck and rail loading schedules and provide shipment status updates for customer orders.
• Schedule work, coordinate production activities, supervise employees, approve time records, and implement company policies.
• Train employees on equipment, operational protocols, production standards, safety regulations, and waste control.
• Maintain safe, clean, and injury-free operations while inspecting materials, products, warehouse equipment, and processes.
• Analyze department performance, investigate shipping-related customer complaints, and implement process and equipment improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least 4 years of experience working in a shipping department.
• Ability to work flexible hours when needed.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of departmental machinery, methods, procedures, manufacturing systems, and shop-floor software.
• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and requests in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.

Nice to have

• Some college education or manufacturing training.
• Experience in a corrugated manufacturing environment.
• Previous supervisory experience with employee training, team building, performance development, and conflict resolution.
