Machine Technician (Medical Devices)

Location: Skaneateles, New York, United States; onsite Weekend Plus shift. Schedule: Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM, and Thursday and Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $40,000–$50,000 per year.

What you will do

• Operate orbiter machines according to manufacturing procedures and requirements.
• Monitor equipment performance and make operational adjustments.
• Perform cleaning, lubrication, inspections, component replacement, and preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and complete repairs and corrective actions.
• Maintain equipment documentation and provide technical support and training to production teams.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Production teams on upgrades, continuous improvement, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing production.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and experience repairing manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally with assistance or proper equipment; ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, reach, push, and pull for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with orbiter equipment components and repair techniques.
• Experience with maintenance management systems.
