Senior Manager, IT

Location: New York, New York, United States; in-office 4–5 days per week

Salary: $164,000–$185,000 USD annual base compensation, plus equity

The Farmer’s Dog provides personalized, freshly made dog food through a direct-to-consumer subscription service and is expanding into broader pet care experiences.

What you will do

• Lead enterprise IT strategy, administration, implementation, and selection of corporate hardware, software, and SaaS tools.
• Own the IT roadmap, prioritize investments, and report progress across Finance, Humans, Engineering, Facilities, Customer Care, and other functions.
• Manage, mentor, hire, and develop the IT team while setting goals and maintaining high performance standards.
• Build and oversee automations, API-based integrations, and internal tooling that reduce repetitive work and enable departments to operate independently.
• Own systems, networking, IAM, endpoint management, SaaS architecture, ticketing SLAs, documentation, vendor management, and cost optimization.
• Support office technology, networking, AV, events, and secure employee onboarding and offboarding across TFD locations.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience working with and managing IT teams and overseeing enterprise technology initiatives.
• Experience leading IT at a growing company and partnering with business functions.
• Strong technical knowledge of identity and SSO architecture, integrations, scripting, and code review, including Python.
• Experience building SaaS automations and integrations and implementing new tools across an organization.
• Experience setting SLAs, defining operational metrics, and using them to drive improvement.
• Hands-on experience with Google Workspace in a Mac environment, Okta, Jamf, Kandji or Intune, Slack, Zoom, Meraki or similar networking, endpoint security, and ticketing platforms.

• Experience using enterprise-grade AI tools for productivity and operational efficiency.
• Willingness to travel several times per year to support other TFD offices.
