IT Support Engineer, Application Administrator

Location: Remote role with required travel to the San Francisco office and occasional travel to other Anthropic offices; staff are currently expected to be in an office at least 25% of the time. Primary locations: San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY.

Annual salary: $230,000–$265,000 USD

What you will do

• Administer configured SaaS applications, including role grants, settings, user troubleshooting, license assignment, reclamation, and utilization reporting.
• Own escalated SaaS support intake, document procedures, and build runbooks and knowledge base materials.
• Automate recurring license, seat reporting, evidence collection, and workflow tasks using scripts, app-native workflows, and AI tools.
• Monitor application health and usage, coordinate vendor-driven updates, and communicate user-facing impacts.
• Manage renewals, true-ups, vendor contacts, SOC2 evidence, access reviews, and audit responses.
• Administer Google Calendar resources, Google Groups, and Slack app operations in partnership with IT Engineering, CorpSec, and developers.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience administering a portfolio of SaaS applications in a fast-paced or high-growth environment.
• Experience managing licenses and seats, supporting renewals or true-ups, and working with vendor account contacts.
• Experience pulling SOC2 or similar audit evidence and executing access reviews.
• Strong communication, organization, documentation, ownership, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or professional experience in a relevant field.
• Ability to travel to the San Francisco office and meet the current expectation of working from an office at least 25% of the time.

Nice to have

• Basic Bash or Python scripting experience.
• Google Workspace administration experience, especially Google Groups.
• Experience completing a full SOC2 or similar audit cycle on the evidence side.
• Experience with SaaS or license management platforms and AI productivity tools.
