IT Automation & Support Engineer

Location: Must be based in or able to work from San Ramon, CA; New York, NY; or Reno, NV

Salary: $104,000 - $131,000 per year

What you will do

• Build and maintain automation pipelines using Okta Workflows and Jira Automation.
• Develop agentic workflows in Atlassian Rovo to improve ticket deflection.
• Provide hands-on Tier 1 and Tier 2 support, including laptop provisioning and account lifecycle management.
• Plan and scope IT projects within sprint cycles.
• Act as the local go-to person for in-office IT needs.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in IT operations or system administration.
• Demonstrated experience building automations using Python or Bash.
• Hands-on experience with Okta security policies and app provisioning.
• Experience managing Mac fleets using Jamf and Google Workspace.
• Must be comfortable with a hybrid role requiring regular in-person office support.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI and agentic tooling like Rovo, Claude, or ChatGPT in IT workflows.
• Certifications in Okta, Jamf (200), or Microsoft/Azure.
• Understanding of secure API usage and integrations.
