Talent and Development Manager

Location: New York, New York, United States; in-office 4–5 days per week

Salary: $95,000–$115,000 USD annual base compensation, plus equity

The Farmer’s Dog is a direct-to-consumer pet health company providing personalized, freshly made dog food through a subscription service.

What you will do

• Own the execution and continuous improvement of the performance enablement strategy.
• Lead the rollout and iteration of the Windmill performance platform, continuous feedback practices, meaningful 1:1s, and manager coaching.
• Design, execute, and project-manage the bi-annual performance review process.
• Create communications and training for program updates, milestones, and next steps.
• Partner with managers, employees, and stakeholders to gather feedback and improve talent programs.
• Contribute to promotions, talent assessment and planning, manager upskilling, and Talent Management budget tracking.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Talent Management or Learning and Development.
• Track record of delivering programs that support employee performance and development.
• Experience managing multiple projects from strategy through execution.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, problem-solving, prioritization, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to simplify complex information and translate strategic outcomes into actionable initiatives.
• Comfort using data and technology, including AI, to accelerate and automate work.
