What you will do

• Design, integrate, optimize, and support complex instrumentation and control systems.
• Administer Linux-based control environments, including servers, IOCs, and containers.
• Develop and deploy EPICS, DCS, and SCADA platforms, including EPICS IOCs and operator interfaces.
• Design distributed control architectures and support virtualization and container-based deployments.
• Automate infrastructure and operations using Ansible and scripting.
• Define system requirements, architectures, validation plans, documentation, standards, and training materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong Linux system administration experience.
• Experience with EPICS or similar DCS/SCADA frameworks.
• Experience with Ansible, scripting, networking, and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Python or Bash and experience with Git or other version-control systems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, testing, and systems-integration skills.

Nice to have

• EPICS IOC development, StreamDevice, Phoebus, or CSS UI development.
• Experience with Proxmox, VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, or other virtualization and container platforms.
• Real-time or near-real-time systems, hardware interfaces, and scientific or industrial instrumentation.
• Cybersecurity practices for control systems.
