Senior Lifecycle Manager (DTC)

Location: New York, New York, United States. In-office attendance is required 4–5 days per week.

Salary: $150,000–$165,000 USD annually, plus equity.

The Farmer’s Dog provides personalized, freshly made dog food through a direct-to-consumer subscription service and is expanding into broader personalized pet care.

What you will do

• Own lifecycle communications from welcome through order delivery and retention, transitioning manual execution to automated, event-triggered messaging.
• Define customer journey content and messaging covering feeding preparation, portioning, transition pacing, and support for picky eaters.
• Develop education, content, and claims strategies that improve customer understanding of the product format.
• Lead 90-day experience and check-in communication experiments, including test design, targeting, setup in Simon, QA, analysis, and iteration.
• Partner with Product Engineering and Data to rebuild customer flows and create structured journeys for new product lines and categories.
• Sponsor lifecycle strategy across growth initiatives and manage and develop one direct report.

Requirements

• 6+ years of lifecycle, CRM, or retention marketing experience, ideally in a DTC or subscription business.
• Hands-on ownership of a lifecycle communications platform and experience designing and running lifecycle experiments.
• People management experience, including regular feedback and team ceremonies.
• Ability to partner with Product Engineering and Data and translate technical constraints into customer-facing communications.
• Ability to balance hands-on execution with senior-level strategy in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, prioritization, attention to detail, and project management skills.
