Hardware Engineer (Smart Home Devices)

Location: Onsite in the hirify.global office laboratory in Carlsbad, California, United States

Salary: USD 75,000–90,000 per year

What you will do

• Participate in manual bench testing and automated product testing under the supervision of hardware engineers.
• Test battery charging and discharging, EMI coexistence, audio performance, and other product functions.
• Generate clear test data and results reports for engineering review.
• Modify prototypes through cabling and wiring, SMT component replacement, PCB trace changes, and mechanical adjustments.
• Maintain, organize, and service the hardware engineering laboratory, including ordering supplies.

Requirements

• New or recent electrical engineering graduate with a BSEE or associate degree in electronics.
• Experience using oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, and power analyzers.
• Experience compiling test data reports with Excel or similar tools.
• Experience using test scripts such as Python.
• Ability to interpret schematics and board layout documentation.
• Comfort with fine-pitch SMT soldering, rework, and cabling.
