Senior Engineer (Hardware) (Aerospace): Designing, modeling, testing, and validating electronics for commercial aerospace water and waste systems with an accent on power conversion, motor drives, valve controllers, and hardware verification. Location: Complete onsite work in Carson, California, with travel to Arrow client office locations as requested. Additional listed client locations include San Jose and Mountain View, California.
Salary: $87,400–$121,000 annual hiring range.

What you will do
- Analyze customer requirements through modeling, prototyping, testing, and previous product performance data.
- Create hardware requirements specifications, interface control documents, design documentation, verification procedures, and test reports.
- Design circuits and schematics using Altium or OrCAD and perform SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, magnetic, thermal, derating, and worst-case load analyses.
- Support PCB layout, board bring-up, functional testing, debugging, and design verification.
- Review and approve engineering changes while ensuring compliance with customer requirements, internal standards, and airworthiness standards.
- Lead small and medium-sized projects, improvement initiatives, technical trade studies, and collaboration with suppliers, OEM customers, and cross-functional groups.
Requirements
- Experience researching, analyzing, designing, developing, testing, debugging, and modifying electronic equipment for commercial aerospace applications.
- Experience with variable-frequency motor drives, AC/DC power converters, valve controllers, system controllers, or comparable power electronics.
- Strong knowledge of circuit design, PCB development, SPICE analysis, component selection, obsolescence management, thermal analysis, and hardware verification.
- Ability to independently solve complex engineering problems, review peer work, and provide technical guidance and training to lower-level engineers.
- Ability to interface with engineering, industrialization, operations, suppliers, OEM customers, and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work onsite in Carson, California from day one and travel to client office locations when requested.
